Regrowing Your own Hair

Regrowing hair through Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) is nothing new today.

The treatment involves drawing the patient’s blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red and white cells. After adding nutrients like protein, the platelets and growth factors are collected from the sample and injected into the scalp where the hair is thinning. The procedure is non-surgical and requires only local anesthesia.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) enhances and strengthens your existing hair follicles. Normally, an average of two or three strands of hair grow in a single follicle. But in people with thinning hair, a large portion of hair follicles might only have a single strand of hair. PRP helps stimulate follicle growth and boost the number of hair strands growing in each follicle.
